Price: €1,695.00

We do accept the Training support grant (up to €1000).  The deposit is €400 and we do offer a payment plan for this course.  You can pay in monthly installments.

This is a Blended Course on Zoom all 4 classes must be attended – 100% attendance is compulsory.

 This course requires that you are competent at Google or Microsoft Word or similar, PowerPoint and have use of a laptop for the class, it cannot be done on a phone.

You will also need access to a printer.

 You must complete 1-hour of micro-teaching. At least 1 x 15 mins Micro teaching session will be observed on Zoom or in person during the course.  

About the Course

VTCT Level 3 Award in Education and Training (ET3A1) The VTCT Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a 12 credit qualification that offers an introduction to teaching in the education and training sector.

This knowledge-based teaching qualification has no minimum teaching practice requirement and therefore may be taken by individuals who are not in a teaching role. However, there is a minimum requirement to take part in micro teaching (peer teaching) which involves planning an observed and assessed teaching session for a specific group of learners (usually the peer group of classmates), delivering and reviewing the session and responding to feedback from the observer and the ‘learners’. Trainee teachers who are already in a teaching role may be able to use their usual workplace teaching for this observed teaching session. The level 3 award offers limited opportunities for employment but it may provide an informed basis for subsequent decision making in terms of further qualification or progression.

Course Entry Requirements

There are no nationally agreed course entry requirements.  However, qualification in your chosen skill is required to teach.
Subjects covered are outlined below:

• To be awarded the VTCT Level 3 Award in Education and Training, learners must achieve a minimum of 12 credits.  
• * Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training.  3 credits.
• * Facilitate learning and development for groups. 6 credits
• * Understanding assessment in education and training.  3 credits.
